Daskara is a unique digital platform that has been developed in collaboration with rural communities in Lebanon. This platform is tailored for individuals who are passionate about exploring, enjoying, and preserving Lebanon's natural beauty and cultural heritage.

The Daskara app is currently under development as a free digital platform that aims to expand through crowdsourcing. Its primary goal is to act as a centralized hub of local insights on the diverse array of natural and cultural sites across Lebanon.

Embracing a community-centered ethos, the NCC has formed partnerships with locals across the nation. These collaborations invite community members to collectively enhance the sustainability of their villages and promote responsible tourism practices.

Local residents and experts will play pivotal roles in enriching the Daskara database, with local experts overseeing the contributions made by residents. Travelers, in turn, will be able to learn from and engage with these local communities.

By empowering users to gather, exchange, and augment their knowledge of their surroundings, supplemented by insights from nature and culture experts, Daskara fosters the conservation and sustainable development of our region. In doing so, it weaves connections between the past, present, and future.

Moreover, Daskara serves as a tool for those within the region or part of the Lebanese diaspora who seek to actively participate in nature conservation and heritage preservation efforts. This platform offers users an effortless way to contribute to the sustainable progress of their cherished hometowns and villages at the click of a button.
